Why do the hard things when you don’t have to?
Why put yourself through adversity when you could choose comfort?
Why keep going when you could stop?
Because we want something more…for a short period of time anyway.
It amazes me how many people train for events or train for their sport or learn skills for a new job, but won’t do the same for their life.
Our life should be number one for us not just small parts of it but when we have an event that we are training for we put everything into it.
We work out daily.
We eat clean and avoid shit food.
We structure our say so we can fit things in.
We recover properly, stretching, massage, etc.
We make it work as if we are high performance athletes because we know that’s what it takes for success…
…until the event is done then we relax and throw it all away.
We should be doing all of these things so we have a high performing life!
So that we have the energy to do the things we want.
So that we have the time to spend on who and what we want to.
So that we have skills and resources to put into our own ventures and adventures.
We don’t and instead we seek comfort and relaxation and we label it as self-care just to validate it to ourselves and others.
But it is not self-care to be overweight from eating shit food and not exercising.
It is not self-care to be so distracted with unproductive and overwhelming busyness.
It is not self-care to burn hours watching tv and not upskilling yourself.
It’s just mediocrity in action.
And if you are happy with mediocrity that’s your choice but I know you are not or you would have unsubscribed from me ages ago.
So how does your high performing life look are you living it or about to make the change today?
If it’s not one of those options then today is the day to unsubscribe from me (no hard feelings lol, but I will just piss you off!)
Let’s do it live your one shot at life at the highest level you possibly can so that on that deathbed there is no room for regret.
Can’t wait to hear all about it!
